Replicators are used to "copy" data from a source database to the local LDAP database. On replication a field match translates the source fields into the destination LDAP fields. So the data is abstracted from the original data.
The replication interval should be set depending the amount of data. If replication takes a long time and maybe CPU time, replication should be done once a night instead of every 15 minutes.
